Of Mice and Men

I think that the ending of the story was good. Not everything can end good and happy and most people don’t like that. They don’t want to face reality and death but it’s going to happen. Of course not everyone will be shot by the one person that they trust, but George was forced to make a very tough decision and I personally think that it was a good choice. He knew Lennie was happy and he made sure it was quick, and he also made sure that he didn’t know it was coming. I think it would have just scared Lennie if he knew and I think it would have just made him sad and make him feel guilty. He did do something bad and he knew it was bad but there was no reason for him, with his disability, to suffer the guilt and to know that he was being killed by his best friend.
